Immigrant Visas

Case of O.P.

O’s parents had arrived from Latin America. Because of the deteriorating situation in their home country, they decided to stay in the U.S. O, a US citizen, consulted with us in properly completing the I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131, and I-864 forms. He prepared a draft of the forms and cover letter and contacted us for a consultation and document review. After doing so and making the necessary corrections, he submitted the petition and applications. 3 months later, USCIS approved the I-130 petitions, and a month later, approved the green card applications and his parents received their green cards.

Case of K.T.

K was a Do-It-Yourselfer — until her errors in completing the immigration paperwork caused her mom’s I-485 adjustment of status application to be rejected and her mom to become "illegal" in the US. K then realized that she needed legal assistance. We then properly completed the I-485 application and I-864 affidavits of support of K and the joint sponsor. After submission, USCIS approved the I-485 and issued the green card to K’s mom in 7 months — without an interview.

Case of K.A.

K won the green card lottery and decided to leave his two teenage daughters behind. He and his wife wanted to settle in to the US before having their daughters join them. He contacted us and we assisted them in the I-130 reunification process. Because they fell into the Family 2A category, their daughters had to wait until their priority date was current. After two years of separation, they were able to join their parents in the United States. After her relocation to the United States, one of the daughters decided to marry her boyfriend from her home country. We represented her in filing the I-130 family petition, and advised her how to spend maximum time with her husband in his country while the process was pending and maintaining her US status.

Cases of V.K and M.M.

V and M headed up the US branches of a foreign multinational company. After creating the US companies, we filed L-1A new office petitions for them and applications for employment authorizations for their wives. After approval, we guided them through the L-1 extension process, advising them of the relevant factors to be considered and developed. While M’s extension went smoothly, V’s business project had substantial delays. After receiving a Request for Evidence, we were able to secure approval of V’s extension. Later, we submitted on behalf of the US companies EB-13 immigration petitions for both V and M. Both petitions were approved and green cards issued in less than three months. In total, M’s visa and immigration process took 20 months from start to finish, while V’s required 26 months.

Case of A.V.

A was born in the US in the 1970s while her parents were posted there for work. At the age of 2, she returned back to her home country. Later she married and had a child. Tired of the government and corruption in her home country, she and her entire family decided to immigrate. Fortunately, there is a USCIS office in her home country. We represented A, a US citizen, and prepared petitions on her behalf for her mother, father, husband, and daughter. She filed the petitions with USCIS overseas. After one week, the petitions were approved and forwarded to the consular section. Visa interviews were immediately appointed. We prepared the family for the visa interviews, and within three days of the interviews, they each received immigrant visas. The entire process took less than 2 months.

Case of F.J.

After five years of waiting, F contacted our firm to help her sons receive immigrant visas. The consular officer doubted the validity of her divorce, and after sending her family petition back to USCIS and USCIS reaffirming the petition, decided to do nothing. We contacted consular management, which invited her sons to another interview. We provided additional documentation confirming the authenticity of her divorce and, after several days, her sons received their immigrant visas.

Case of A.T.

The mailing address used by A, a Green Card Lottery winner, seemed suspicious to the consul officer, so he decided to suspend processing of the application. We contacted consular management, calling into question the fishing expedition of the consular officer and within days, A and his family received their immigrant visas — with less than one month remaining before the expiration of the program.

Case of E.S.

E owned several companies: a car dealer, a window manufacturer, and real estate agency. He decided to acquire an existing business in the US. We identified several potential options for him, and he decided to buy a fast food restaurant. After acquiring the business, we submitted a petition on behalf of the restaurant for him. He received an L-1 visa. In a few months, the restaurant filed an EB-13 petition on his behalf, which was approved. From the time of the purchase of the restaurant until the time he received the green card, less than 15 months elapsed.

Case of S.R.

S was a world famous statistician. He could not understand why he had been denied a green card in the category of extraordinary ability. It was a matter of pride for him. We represented his interests before the Administrative Appeals Office and filed an appeal on his behalf. The AAO approved the appeal, and S and his wife received green cards.

Case of M.D.

M was the owner of a successful advertising agency. To expand his business, he decided to open an office in the U. S. We helped him register the company and receive an L-1 visa. Later, as his US company developed, we prepared an EB-13 petition (multinational executive), and he received a green card.
